Rota · clock-in · payroll hours
Get the rota out of the Viber group.
Rotazen helps you plan the week, lets your staff clock in from their phones at the venue, and turns their hours into a gross pay summary your accountant can use.
Made in Sofia for restaurants, hotels, shops, clinics and anyone else who works in shifts.
14 days of Professional free, no card. Then the Free plan, with no time limit: up to 10 people, you included, at one venue.

Who takes the open bar shift?
Pick someone. Nothing is saved.
In your account, this warning shows only once an administrator switches on the 40-hour check (Starter plan and up). It never stops a save.

Fri 17:58 · at the venue
Staff clock in from their phones. Rotazen checks they're at the venue.
You see who's in, who's late and who forgot to clock out, next to the rota instead of in a notebook.
- Phone, checked against the venue
- Reminder if someone forgets to clock out
Outside the venue's radius, the clock-in doesn't go through, and a manager can enter the hours instead.

Not only restaurants
Anyone who works in shifts plans the same way: who works, when, and how many people you need. Only the busy hours move.

What you get, screen by screen
The whole week on one screen, and on everyone's phone.
- Week and month views, on the computer and the phone
- Keep the week as a draft, then publish it when it's ready
- Import the rota you have now from Excel

See where the hours and the money go.
- Scheduled against clocked hours, and late arrivals by person
- Labour cost as an estimate of gross pay, for administrators only
- Takings against labour cost, from the end-of-day reports you approved

People, positions and requests in one list.
- A position and a venue for each person
- Swaps and leave: staff ask in the app, you approve
- Invite by link, QR code or e-mail; people sign in with Google, Apple or a code

Close the till with a report, not a photo in Viber.
- Takings, cash counted and the variance, from the phone
- Attach a photo of the Z-report
- You approve it, and every correction stays on the record

From clocked hours to a gross pay summary.
- Hours and contract pay become gross pay for each person
- Night and official-holiday premiums, if you switch them on
- Export to Excel or CSV for your accountant; net pay and taxes stay with them

iPhone and Android
Your team sees the rota on their phones.
On every plan, including Free. Staff see their week, ask for a swap or for leave, and mark the days they can't work.
The web app is fully Bulgarian and English; the main phone screens are Bulgarian.

Кодекс на труда · optional checks
Switch on the checks you want. Rotazen warns while you plan.
Four checks from the Кодекс на труда (the Bulgarian Labour Code). In your account each one starts switched off.
Example week · these switches change only the example
Warnings for this example week
- Petar N.: 46 h planned this week, 6 h above the 40-hour norm · чл. 136, ал. 1 КТ
- Maria P.: 11 h between shifts (Fri 23:00 → Sat 10:00), under the 12 hours' rest · чл. 152 КТ
You can still save. A warning doesn't stop the shift.

Optional, and off until an administrator turns them on (Starter plan and above). A warning never stops a shift being saved. The checks don't cover everything the Кодекс на труда requires: weekly rest, breaks during the working day and the overtime book are not among them. Not legal advice. The rota remains the employer's responsibility.

Before you start
What do I get for free?
Every new account gets 14 days of the Professional plan free, with no card. After that you can stay on the Free plan, with no time limit: up to 10 people, you included, at one venue. The Free plan has the rota, the mobile app and leave requests. Кодекс на труда warnings start on Starter, and phone clock-in and gross pay on Professional.
Does Rotazen do payroll?
It does the gross side. From the hours worked and the pay set in each person's contract, Rotazen builds a gross pay summary: hours, gross pay, and any night or official-holiday premiums you've switched on. It exports to Excel or CSV for your accountant. Net pay, income tax, social-security contributions and the filings with НАП and НОИ stay with your accountant and their payroll software. We recommend your accountant checks the figures before anyone is paid. Contracts and gross pay are on the Professional plan and above.
Is the mobile app included?
Yes — iPhone and Android, on every plan including Free. Your staff see the rota, request swaps and mark the days they cannot work from their phones.
What location does phone clock-in use, and when?
Only when someone clocks in or out in the Rotazen app. At clock-in the phone shares its position and Rotazen checks that it is within the venue's radius: 200 m, unless you set a different one for that venue. Outside it, the clock-in doesn't go through and a manager can enter the hours instead. The position is saved with that time record, and at clock-out too when the phone provides one. While the clock-in screen is open, the phone shows how far it is from the venue; that check stays on the phone. Rotazen doesn't follow staff between clock-ins or while the app is in the background. Phone clock-in is on the Professional plan and above, and the venue has to be placed on the map first. Our privacy policy has the details.
Are the Кодекс на труда checks mandatory?
No — and they are off to begin with. An administrator turns each check on separately in Organization settings, on the Starter plan and above. They warn you while you build the rota; they never stop a shift being saved, and turning one off changes nothing about what the Кодекс на труда requires of you. Rotazen is not legal advice.
Does Rotazen make my rota legal?
No. Rotazen shows warnings for the checks you've switched on while you build the rota, but it doesn't decide whether a rota is lawful, and a warning never stops a shift being saved. The checks look at planned shifts only, and they don't cover everything the Кодекс на труда requires: weekly rest, breaks during the working day and the overtime book are among the gaps. The rota, and meeting the requirements of the Code, remain the employer's decision and responsibility. Rotazen is not legal advice.
Put next week's rota in Rotazen. Keep it only if it's easier than the spreadsheet.
